Mangaluru: MSNIM organises ‘AGNEYA 2024’ Cultural Fest for Undergraduate Students

The Manel Srinivas Nayak Institute of Management (MSNIM) organised ‘Agneya 2024’, a cultural fest for undergraduate students, on Tuesday, April 16, 2024, at its campus in Bondel. The theme for the event was ‘Adhunik: Retro to Metro’. The fest included Dance Competition, Singing, Reel Making, Street Play, Face Painting, Treasure Hunt and Pencil Sketching. 120 students from 15 colleges in and around Mangalore participated.

Praveen Kalbhavi, Co-Founder, Managing Director, CEO, Novigo Solutions Pvt. Ltd., was the Chief Guest for the inauguration ceremony. Siddharth H. Shetty, Architect, Actor, Choreographer was the guest of honour. P. Suresh Pai, Vice President, Women’s National Education Society (WNES), presided over the function. The institute Director Dr. Molly S. Chaudhuri was present.

In his inaugural address, Praveen Kalbhavi observed that India has achieved considerable economic progress despite the global challenges. “Indian talent is in high demand in the IT and service sector. Indian unicorns and start-ups are thriving, creating groundbreaking solutions and technologies and fuelling job growth. Hence, everyone should develop entrepreneurship,” he said. Siddharth H. Shetty said that participation in cultural festivals helps in developing interpersonal relationships.  P. Suresh Pai commended the faculty and students for their dedicated efforts in organizing the programme.

Shashwath led the invocation. Aparna Shenoy welcomed the gathering and introduced the dignitaries. Nishmitha gave a vote of thanks. Sharanya G.K. anchored the programme.

Valedictory Function:

Mr. Bola Rahul Kamath, Director, Bola Agro Pvt. Ltd., was the chief guest for the valedictory and prize distribution function held in the evening. Rahul Amin, Actor and Director was the guest of honour. Dr. Manjula K.T., Vice President, Women’s National Education Society, presided over the function. 

In his address, Mr. Bola Rahul Kamath reminisced about his college days and advised students to cherish their academic and cultural pursuits equally. Rahul Amin encouraged students to pursue their passions. Dr. Manjula K.T. emphasized the transformation of education towards skill-based learning and urged students to realize their potential fully.

Anushree welcomed the gathering and made the introductions. Sathvika, Faculty and Agneya Coordinator, presented a report on the event. Nanditha Sunil, Faculty and Agneya Coordinator, announced the prizes. Keerthana gave a vote of thanks. Sharanya G.K. anchored the programme.

  3. Reel Making: Adithya P.V., St. Philomena College, Puttur.
  4. Solo Singing: Prakruthi, Akshaya College, Puttur (First Place); Akshay, Vivekananda College, Puttur (Second Place).
  5. Dance: Besant Evening College, Mangalore (First Place); Vivekananda College, Puttur (Second Place).
  6. Pencil Sketching: Hithesh, Sri Ramakrishna College, Mangalore (First Place); Durgashree D., Akshaya College, Puttur (Second Place).
  7. Treasure Hunt: Vivekananda College, Puttur.

OVERALL CHAMPIONS: Vivekananda College, Puttur (First Place); Besant Evening College, Mangalore (Runner Up)
